Case Description:
At 1:30 of the afternoon of Friday 4 February 94, subsequent to the threats publicly announced by the head of state, Omar Hassan Al-Bashir, against Ansar al-Sunna Muslims who have been strongly opposing the NIF-backed government, a group
of NIF supporters opened fire at a number of Ansar al-Sunna supporters while they were praying the Friday Prayers at their mosque in Al-Thawra town of Omdurman city.
As a direct result of the attack, 300 persons were seriously wounded of whom
28 died for lack of medical care. The names of the victims included:

(17) Abdel-Sammad Abd-Allah
(18) Bilaila Ahmed

Brigadier Omar Hassan Ahmed Al-Bashir is the first accused of this heinous crime which took place for the first time
in the history of Sudanese people. Omar Al-Bashir, his minister of interior, and NIF council must be prosecuted for these extrajudicial killings.
