Case Description:

Colonel Hamza Al-Bakheet, also known among the military service as: Hamza Fox, was born in 1946 in west Sudan. He was well known among his colleagues as being a sociable and courageous military officer.

Hamza has graduated from the military college and then joined the western military center of Elfashir. He then worked in the Nyala Training Center for newly military recruits.

Colonel Al-Bakheet, who was a colleague of Omar Albahir, current head of state, had participated in many military operations in Bahr Al-Ghazal. He strongly criticized Omar Albashir and other NIF officers and declared his strong rejection to the NIF coup of 1989. When the NIF rule took over power and started purging the military service, Al-Bakheet was among the first line of officers to be dismissed from service. He then worked in the Khartoum airport and lived in Al-Thoura Town in Omdurman.

In the day of his murder, Hamza's wife who used to hear his voice reading the Quran every day after Alfajr prayer, did not hear him that day. When she came to look for him, she saw his feet coming out of the bath room door. She discovered that her husband was shot on his head. Investigations showed that he was shot on his fore head, using a silent gun. 

In an attempt to throw the dust in the eyes, and hide the crime, the NIF security authorities announced that they will look after his killers and bring them to a military trial !!

The murderers of Colonel Hamza are still at large !
